We all need an occasional break from the design-related posts, right? OK… Here’s a rad version of JB’s “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag” recorded live in 1987. Not really a video but just listen anyway.

I recently had the opportunity to work with a couple of OSU grads who decided to take on developing an iPhone app. The two computer science seniors did a great job at taking the designs through to the final product and was a perfect example of the caliber students coming out of the program.

We spent my birthday in Seattle last weekend and did some thrift store shopping in the Ballard neighborhood. This shop impressed me so much that I had to throw something together just to document the experience. It’s rare to find a shop that sells local milk, flannels, vintage Levi’s, axes and bird calls in one area with a distinct style. They aren’t online, but you can check out some posts from their parent store, Blackbird.
